Tussaud’s Visitors Pass21st Sep, 2010 |
If you are heading to the UK and London, then you probably want to make the most of it. If you are planning on going to two or more of the following attractions, then it pays to get yourself an annual ticket. Just the price of 2 visits will cover the cost of the annual pass and it means you can use and use again. From the 3rd visit onwards, it is all savings. Depending on the attractions, you can even start saving on your second visit. Makes serious sense to consider getting one. Guy Fawkes – Bon Fire Night5th Nov, 2008 |
Guy Fawkes was a member of a Roman Catholic group who planned to blow up parliament to dissolve the regime. As a result we celebrate the 5th November as Bon Fire Night. Many Places through huge firework displays and Theme Parks often have special nights. Children often dress up a “guy” and will ask for a penny for the guy. It is traditional to give them some money. Much has been done to celebrate this day including having verses written. The most popular perhaps being:- “Remember, remember the fifth of November, Happy Halloween31st Oct, 2008 |
Spamalot – Monty Pyton15th Oct, 2008 |
If you are a Monty Pyton fan then you should go to watch Spamalot. Spamalot is lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Pyton and the Holy Grail and is a new musical directed by Mike Nichols. And honestly, it has nothing to do with Spam!! It is side grippingly funny, that even when I went (and was not in a particularly good mood) left with my sides aching from the silliness! This was a year ago and I still smile when I think about it. I would happily watch again.
Phantom of the Opera9th Oct, 2008 |
The Phantom of the Opera is one of the best Musicals ever. If you have not seen it, then you must make a point of going. If you only ever watch one show on Broadway / in the West End, then it really should be The Phantom of the Opera. It is known for being the World’s most haunting Love Story. (Don’t take your girlfriend there if you don’t want her to fill up with wedding ideas – Just Kidding!) It is an Andrew Lloyd Webber production which opened today 23 years ago and is still going strong, which goes to show just how good it is. It is currently playing at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Haymarket, London – SW1Y 4QL. London Planetarium1st Aug, 2008 |
If you have a little time, a visit to the London Planetarium is a must. The London planetarium is a part of the Tussaud Group and is truly an out of this world experience. If you have ever looked up at the sky and wondered…. then you really must take some time out of your busy schedule to fit in a visit. The British Museum20th Jul, 2008 |
