Guy Fawkes – Bon Fire Night5th Nov, 2008 |
Guy Fawkes was a member of a Roman Catholic group who planned to blow up parliament to dissolve the regime. As a result we celebrate the 5th November as Bon Fire Night. Many Places through huge firework displays and Theme Parks often have special nights. Children often dress up a “guy” and will ask for a penny for the guy. It is traditional to give them some money. Much has been done to celebrate this day including having verses written. The most popular perhaps being:- “Remember, remember the fifth of November, Happy Halloween31st Oct, 2008 |

When you stay near Heathrow you are in an excellent area for most Theme Parks. For example Thorpe Park is under 5 miles away and Lego Land is around 12 miles away. Any place in central London is just a train ride away including Madame Tussuad, London Zoo, Sea Life and more. The one thing you should know is that by booking online versus turning up on the day, you can make substantial savings. I have placed a link below where you can buy your tickets online and print out before you go and you can make substantial savings on your Theme Park tickets. Literally all you do is select, pay, print and off you go!! (with extra cash in your pocket). |
